‘SEEDS & A SYMPHONY OF IDEAS’ at CHELSEA ARTS CLUB

‘SEEDS & A SYMPHONY OF IDEAS’ will be installed at Chelsea Arts Club from September 2026 until January 2027.

Site specific intervention consisting of 80+ solid cast plaster light bulbs impregnated with wildflower seeds, perched atop thin pre-weathered steel rods measuring up to 250cm in height.
60+4 elements are placed within a bespoke steel frame, dramatically flooded in deep red-light, remaining elements exiting this confinement, are free to explore a wider space and time.

The individual elements combine to make a three dimensional musical score, a symphony of ideas.

Seeds are designed to slowly release with the action of the elements.

The light bulb motif being a visual directive towards the concept of ideas, a eureka moment and the idea of power in nature alongside the man-made within nature, plus a play on the word ‘bulb’; the capacity for creating light or a bulb [flora] with the capacity for creating life.

A companion piece to ‘Seeds Of Ideas//Ghostlight’ currently installed at Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park in North Yorkshire and ‘Ghostlight’ premiered at Bayfield Hall, Norfolk in 2025.

All materials are non-toxic and environmentally considered.
