POSE

We are pleased to be exhibiting two sculptures, the diptych High Hopes and Cease Fire, in ‘POSE’ alongside 60 other artists exhibiting pieces that provoke, celebrate, and challenge viewers, creating a space where Queerness is embraced in all its diversity, fluidity and beauty.

In the words of the organisers ‘As Queer individuals navigate public and private spaces, what does it mean to ‘Pose’ in ways that assert, conceal, or transform visibility? How can posing become a means of resisting marginalisation? In a world where Queer identities often exist at the complex intersections of visibility, societal expectations, and personal validation, posing can be seen as both a form of protest and a testament to survival and resilience. Your ‘Pose’ could signify strength or fragility, fake or authenticity, celebration or survival.’

The ‘POSE’ exhibition is a central element of Queerfest Norwich 2025 around which are a host of related events taking place throughout the month from an Art & Makers Market, Workshops, Film Nights and Fundraisers, please do check the Queerfest website for further details.

The exhibition has been curated by Rachel Collier-Wilson, Arlo Lawton, Zana Baklava, Sam Rooke (film) and Elaine Humpleby (pop-up area)
