We’re mightily pleased to have two previously un-shown works [Lessons In Life [Flesh Dreams I + II]] in the Norwich Pride Art Exhibition: Presence.
The show is a celebration of Queer existence, identity, and community with emphasis on the importance of living authentically in the present while acknowledging our past. This group of artists explore ideas of self-discovery, activism, history, identity, belonging, resistance and future possibilities. Highlighting the significance of being unapologetically seen and heard in a world that often seeks to erase our voices.
The exhibition takes place at The Assembly House, one of the most important buildings in Norwich, designed by architect Thomas Ivory in 1754; with curation by Rachel Collier-Wilson, a fine artist/printmaker and Director of QueerFest Norwich and Adam Baker, of Queer Norfolk, with the kind support of Norwich University of the Arts and The Assembly House.
