HIMALAYAN GARDEN

THE DnA FACTORY MRSS are delighted to be installing ‘Seeds Of Ideas//Ghostlight’ for ‘Sculptures in the Landscape’; a showcase of 60 new works created by artists from across the UK, exhibited for the duration of the summer season at the amazing Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park in North Yorkshire.

Alongside the sculptures and installations included in ‘Sculpture In The Landscape 2026’ are 90 permanent works displayed in this unique open-air gallery. Each sculpture has been chosen and positioned within the gardens in a way that relates to everything around them; the weather, light, vegetation and the close and long-distance views. It is an active relationship, with each sculpture focusing, intensifying and animating its environment.

‘Seeds Of Ideas//Ghostlight’ consists of 60 solid cast plaster light bulbs impregnated with wildflower seeds, perched atop thin pre-weathered steel rods measuring up to 250cm, creating en masse, a field of ideas. The seeds are designed to slowly release with the action of the elements. All materials are non-toxic and environmentally considered. The light bulb motif is a visual directive towards the concept of ideas, a eureka moment and the idea of power in nature alongside the man-made within nature, plus a play on the word ‘bulb’; the capacity for creating light or a bulb [flora] with the capacity for creating life.

Exhibition Open to Public: 2nd April to 1st November 2026, 10am – 4pm
