ABOUT

“LOVE, SEX, OBSESSION, DEATH & ALL THE DIRT AND POETRY BETWEEN.”

THE DnA FACTORY MRSS ARE DALLAS & ANGEL [B. 1967]  Artistic & life collaborators since 1990 in a vast range of disciplines including sculpture, painting, collage, photomontage, textiles, design, illustration, photography, poetry.

With a style best described as Post-Punk-Baroque mixed with a large dollop of Surrealism, a touch of Pop and a scoop of Expressionism, visceral, unapologetic and thought-inducing.

Their collaborative works delve into themes around the politics of the body, gender and sexuality as well as the broader social and political implications that shape our world. More recent works combine these core themes with a definitive critique of consumerism and the aggressive capitalist model.

The duo shares a passion for material experimentation, discovering limitations and moving beyond those expectations. Throughout their career they have employed the use of reclaimed or recycled objects and materials. Transmuting a discarded item into something ‘other’, unexpected or unrecognizable in relation to its previous incarnation.

ACTIVE MEMBERS of Chelsea Arts Club and since 2015 have been part of the extremely hard working and ultra-talented Ball Design Committee, responsible for creating and upholding the grand tradition of The Arts Club Balls from their time held at The Royal Albert Hall to their equally [in]famous, ‘though slightly smaller, events held in Old Church Street. The BDC design, theme, build, prop-make, paint, project and light each of these twice yearly spectaculars, including the painting of the famous 143 facade.

THE DnA FACTORY MRSS are exhibited & collected in Europe [Spain, Greece, France, Germany] USA, Brazil, China, UK.
